Having taught this game for nearly 50 years, it pains me to say this but… no.
Don’t get me wrong. Paying for lessons is never a bad thing.

Too sensitive and feedback no clear
Simple, but surprisingly effective.
Really helps me to get used to a proper swing starting position and soon I won’t have to think about it at all it will just happen.
This trainer is LEGIT. Reading the “A swing” book and using this trainer have helped immensely in my golf swing. I had to watch YouTube Leadbetter videos to learn how to use. I mainly practice in front of my full length bathroom mirror. This is by far the best training aid I have used in my life. If you want the best combo, I’d get this + boomerang + short club for indoor practice.
I like how it works and it is very helpful. Tough to put on thicker graphite shafts and it is costly in my opinion, Amazon has cheaper versions.

I've always had trouble with the takeaway, took it too far inside. Skeptical about this device but thought I'd try it out. The device, along with DL's advice of using stomach muscles to start the swing, really helped. The arrow clearly shows whether the takeaway is in the correct position. I now regularly drill with takeaway practice. It's easy to use and doesn't require special equipment.

I purchased the unit for my nephew who is a 10 handicap. I felt that being conscious of the tour take away could keep him on the short grass off the T plus 8-12 yds for a shorter iron. Clearly helpful to achieve a single digit handicap.

This simple tool effectively and simply puts you in a position to make a stress free and flowing swing. Since using this training aid, I have experienced more power with the proper sequence that my instructor has been trying to demonstrate over dozens of lessons. If you use this and groove it, your game will improve period.
I'm 68 yrs old, a former college golfer, and low handicap as of 4 years ago. After several surgeries and health issues I haven't played for 4 years. I saw this tool and decided to start over the right way, fearing I could get into bad habits after a layoff. I haven't used any swing aids ever, but I highly recommend this one. I practiced the takeaway in my home before I took it to the range, to get a feel for the takeaway. My timing was a little off the first month after 4 years off, but in 2 months I'm back to hitting it better than I did before, fewer fat shots. I noticed it's helping me hit ball first more efficiently. This is a great tool. My advice is to just practice the takeaway for a couple of weeks without a ball to get a feel for it, then take it to the range. Thanks David, this is a wonderful aid.
