Transition Drill

Transition Drill

Your swing lives or dies in the transition. It’s the split-second when your backswing shifts to your downswing. Get it wrong, and you lose balance, power, and control. Get it right, and your swing flows like magic.

The Transition Drill shows you how to nail it every time.

This drill slows you down so you focus on feeling the movement. Here's how it works. You stop at the top of your backswing and hold it for a second. Then start your downswing slowly. Lead with your hips as you shift your weight. Then let the rest of your body follow.
It’s smooth. It’s controlled. It feels good.

Practice this a few times, then hit some balls. Keep the same smooth transition. You’ll feel it when you get it right. The club moves faster. The ball flies straighter. The contact is pure.
A good transition unlocks everything—balance, power, consistency. This drill makes it simple. It turns that awkward moment at the top into the best part of your swing.

Ready to fix your transition? Learn the drill now and start hitting the shots you know you’ve got in you.

It would have been much more helpful if the video illustrated the drill described in your narrative rather than introducing two other drills to initiate the downswing sequence.
