Good posture is the foundation of every great golf swing. Without it, your balance, power, and accuracy can fall apart before you even take the club back. The Merry-Go-Round Drill is a simple, effective way to fix your posture and set up correctly every time.

Here’s how to do it.

Start by grabbing a club. Hold it across your shoulders, resting the shaft behind your neck. Stand tall, feet shoulder-width apart, and let your arms rest on the club. This is your starting position.

Now, imagine you're standing on a merry-go-round. Tilt forward from your hips, keeping your back straight and your knees slightly bent. Your weight should shift naturally to the balls of your feet, not your heels or toes. This is your golf posture.

From this position, practice rotating your upper body while keeping your lower body stable. Turn to your right as if simulating your backswing, then turn to your left as if simulating your follow-through. Focus on staying balanced and keeping the club level across your shoulders.

This drill helps you feel how proper posture supports your rotation. You’ll notice how much easier it is to stay balanced and controlled when your setup is solid.
